First generation Camaros are as popular as ever, and this first year SS won’t disappoint. 1967 was the first year for Camaros and is easily discernable by the vent window, which went away in 1968. This beauty is in its original color combination of Butternut Yellow with a Black interior. What is different is the powerplant! A 1969 Chevy 350, 4-bolt main engine has been given a 383 stroker kit with SCAT crank and rods, roller rockers, Vortec heads, a 750 CFM Black Diamond Quick Fuel Technologies 4-barrel carburetor, Weiand Street Warrior intake, Mallory distributor and ignition box, MSD Blaster coil, Hedman headers, and dual exhaust with an X-pipe! Bump the key and hear this stroker motor roar to life. Grab the shifter and go with a Muncie M-21 4-speed manual running to a 12-bolt rear end with new Richmond 3.42 posi gears and a factory RS traction bar!
The interior is just as you remember from 1967 with the exception of one Stewart Warner oil pressure gauge mounted under the dash. Black bucket seats are comfortable and cool and the floor mounted 4 speed just screams muscle car! The trunk is stock and spatter painted and does include a spare tire, just in case.
The engine is nicely dressed with black valve covers and air cleaner and shows really well. The 15” radial tires are wrapped in new red line radial tires.
This Camaro just had a refresh that included: the engine, new front springs, new brake pads, new Champion aluminum radiator, new headliner, door panels, carpet, 2.5” aluminum exhaust, taillight bezels, hood louvers, battery, clutch, pressure, plate, throw out bearing, and a resurfaced flywheel. The transmission also features a bulletproof bellhousing!
